š Hello, my fellow Stage Rats! Itās me, your lovable, sneaky, snack-stealing, aisle-dwelling theatre ratā¦ thank you for joining for the inaugural edition. The Stage Rat promises always to deliver tasty theatre bits, in a manner a little less dry than the ācratics.ā
Letās dive into the weekās tastiest theatre morsels, shall we?

THE RATāS RECOMMENDATION: Oh Mary! (Cheese Score: 3/5)

Description: Oh, Mary! is a dark comedy about a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincolnās assassination.
Why you should care:
Hilarious. In that american humor kind of way. It is farcical, paced well, and everyone in the audience is up for a good time too - also skews younger.
Anti-theatrical. The set design is intentionally basic, the acting is camp and over the top, and the historical inaccuracy laughs in the face of Hamilton. Itās a bit that goes too far and then just keeps going in a good way.
You can bring anyone. Broad appeal and fast. This is not āWaiting for Godotā - youāre in and youāre out.
Great Twist, and Great Ending. Unexpected turns, blasphemous, sexual and crescendoing ending that is sure to have you rolling.
Show Duration: 80 minutes (two episodes of Severance)
Location: NYC Broadway - Lyceum Theatre
Who to bring: Your BFF, your crush, your partner who hates theatre but likes comedy.
Tips: Show up drunk, laugh.
Overall Cheese rating: 3/5
